We invite you to join our roundtable sessions hosted by local community leaders and education advocates! By sharing your educational experiences in Alamance County you will help uplift the educational challenges of the community and identify the action steps needed to create a more inclusive and equitable education system for everyone. All attendees will receive $25 in compensation for their participation.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone who advocates for children and their families in Alamance County, NC! This can include high school students and recent alumni, students attending local community colleges and universities in Alamance, parents & caregivers of students attending school spaces in Alamance, K-12 educators, Higher Ed staff, and school faculty and staff in Alamance County.
Language Accessibility?
Sessions will be available in both English and Spanish.
Location of Roundtables?
Our Roundtables will be hosted by our Community Engagement Award recipients at their organization’s physical location or virtually! Learn more about the various roundtables on our social media on Facebook and Instagram (@alamanceforward).
What happens at a roundtable?
We have conversations in small groups about the experiences parents, students, educators, or community members have had in school.
